Name: The Outsider
Canon: Dishonored

An ancient being who wears the form of a pale young man with eyes as black as the Void. He is the source of magic in his world, and can allow others to wield it by branding them with his mark. He is neither malicious nor benevolent, he's simply bored. He gives people his mark in hopes that they'll do something he finds interesting. Occasionally he will appear before those he's chosen, at his shrines in particular, and offer cryptic advice and vague clues, but leaves it up to his chosen to decide what to use this for. After all, he may be able to see the branching paths that are made up of all the possible choices a human may make in a lifetime, but even he can't tell which of those particular paths a person will choose in the end.

He's somewhat comparable to a trickster archetype in many respects, albeit with a bit of Elderitch horror flair to him.
